The teleCalm adapter has 11 lights across the top, but the most important ones are the two on the left (Power and System) and the three on the right (LTE, Phone 2 and Phone 1). Both the Power and SYS light should be on and solid. The LTE light should be flashing, and one of the Phone lights should be solid when no call is in progress (the other Phone light should be off).
When you pick up the phone, you should have a dial tone and either the Phone 1 or Phone 2 light should begin to flash. When you hang up the call, the Phone light should return to solid.
